Tips for Making This Recipe:
We use Mizithra cheese, a traditional Greek cheese from Crete, known for its crumbly texture and mild tang.
You can also opt for substitutes like feta, goat’s cheese, Manouri, Anthotyro, Ricotta, or cottage cheese.
Adjust the salt accordingly, especially with saltier cheese options like feta – remember to taste before adding more salt.
In traditional Greek cooking, we favor simplicity in salad dressings. Typically, we use a drizzle of olive oil and a touch of lemon or vinegar, allowing the salad to marinate in the fridge, naturally releasing its juices. In this recipe, halving the grapes intentionally encourages them to impart their sweet, delightful juices.
Prepare this salad 1-2 hours before dinner and consider adding barley rusks, croutons, cooked quinoa, or couscous to make it more filling.
